TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEMH provision based in Thrapston, supporting students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The provision is looking for a confident and adaptable Science Teacher who can create a positive learning environment and engage young people with a range of additional needs.
The school is looking to take on a Science Teacher on a long-term basis, with an ASAP start. The successful Science Teacher will teach Science to students aged 11-16, adapting lessons to individual needs while maintaining clear expectations and effective classroom management.
The successful Science Teacher will have:
- QTS
- Experience teaching Science to students aged 11-16
- Experience working with young people with SEMH needs
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication skills
