The school provides a caring and inclusive learning environment for pupils with complex learning needs and is committed to promoting independence, communication and emotional wellbeing. Staff work collaboratively to ensure all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential in a safe and engaging setting.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher on a long-term basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be supporting pupils with SLD and PMLD, with a large proportion of children having ASC and SLCN identified as their primary need on their EHCPs. The role will require a strong understanding of complex SEND needs, differentiated learning approaches and the ability to create a positive and structured classroom environment.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
- QTS
- Experience working with pupils with SLD, PMLD, ASC and SLCN
- A strong understanding of complex SEND needs and EHCPs
- Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach
- The ability to support communication and sensory needs within the classroom
