Teaching Assistants Needed For ASD School
West Midlands / Temporary / Β£90 β Β£105 per day
TeacherActive is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis in SEMH/SEND schools based in South Birmingham. We are seeking individuals with experience working with challenging students with ASD who are interested in a career change into a school environment.
The school requires additional staff due to increased student referrals, necessitating support for 1:1 and general classroom assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils outside the classroom with pastoral and personal development
- Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, allowing other TAs to focus on their tasks
- Patrol the school and work with pupils not in class for various reasons
Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working with teenagers
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Team player attitude with a positive, flexible approach
- Experience within an ASD school or setting
