This September, they’re looking for a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work closely with a pupil, helping them grow both academically and emotionally in a mainstream setting. Whether you’re based in the heart of the city or commuting in from nearby towns, this is a great opportunity to join a school where your work is valued and your role has clear purpose.

Your Role Will Involve:

Delivering personalised lessons and activities in line with EHCP targets

Creating a safe, encouraging space where the child feels secure and supported

Using positive behaviour strategies to help with emotional regulation

Liaising with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to ensure joined-up support

Providing both academic guidance and emotional encouragement throughout the day

What We’re Looking For:

Level 3 or 4 Learning Support qualification (or equivalent)

Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally on a 1:1 basis in a primary setting

A patient, compassionate nature with strong emotional awareness

Ability to adapt learning approaches to individual needs

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Two references from recent educational settings
