The school has a supportive ethos and works closely with staff to ensure pupils receive the encouragement and guidance they need to thrive both academically and socially.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant from September to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with autism and communication needs. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, encourage communication, and help the pupil access learning whilst promoting independence and confidence throughout the school day.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is desirable
- Experience working within a UK primary school
- Experience supporting children with autism (ASD) and communication needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
