URGENTLY NEEDED SEND TA FOR ADULTS
TeacherActive is delighted to be working with an exceptional college that empowers and inspires their students every day. This college provides a high standard of education and focuses on students ages 19 to 25 with PMLD and ASD and provides them with a daily structure and routine to ensure the best learning environment for their individual needs.
The college is looking for a determined SEND Teaching Assistant/TA with the potential of a permanent position. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant/TA will be confident and adaptable in working with students with ASD needs helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and work closely with Teachers to support the classroom.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant/TA will have the following:
- Child and Adult DBS (required) or willing to apply for one
- Experience working with PMLD and ASD
- A calm, patient, and caring personality
- A good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
- Excellent classroom management
