Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Ripley

Salary: £90 – £110 a day

We are proud to be working closely with a Primary School in the Derbyshire area that is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant with extensive experience working with children with ASD. The school aims for every child to become a successful, independent, resilient, lifelong learner and a responsible member of the community, in a nurturing and creative environment prepared for our ever-changing world.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside KS1 / Key Stage 1 classes, including significant 1:1 support for students with behaviour or communication needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent (essential).
  • Extra courses related to SEN or ASD are desirable.
  • Good understanding of supporting students who require behaviour or communication support.
  • Experience working with children with SEN and Autism; experience in KS1 is preferred.
  • Strong communication between staff and students.
