Salary: £90 – £110 a day

We are proud to be working closely alongside a Primary School in the Derbyshire area that are looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant with extensive experience working with children with ASD. The school has a vision for every child to become a successful, independent, resilient, lifelong learner and a responsible member of the community, who can achieve and grow in a nurturing and creative environment prepared for our ever-changing world.

The role itself would be working alongside the KS1/Key stage 1 classes. You will need to have a NVQ level 3 qualification, or equivalent. Extra courses in relation to SEN or ASD would be desirable. You will need to have a good understanding of working with students who require behaviour or communication needs. It will be a lot of working closely in a 1:1 setting, working part time, Monday to Wednesday.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working with children with SEN and Autism
Experience working in KS1
Able to communicate well between staff and students well
Level 3 or higher qualification
Extra training in relation to SEN or ASD areas is desirable
