This is a full-time, long-term position with the strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful teacher will deliver engaging and creative lessons, helping students develop their skills and passion for technology in a forward-thinking environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Computer Science and IT across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5).
- Creating engaging, well-differentiated resources that inspire and challenge learners of all abilities.
- Assessing, tracking, and monitoring student progress effectively to ensure attainment and progress.
- Supporting the development of the curriculum and contributing to departmental planning and assessment.
- Encouraging innovation, creativity, and problem-solving through the use of coding, programming and real-world digital applications.
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive department, sharing best practice and contributing to extra-curricular opportunities (e.g. coding clubs, robotics, digital competitions).
- Upholding high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and professionalism at all times.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and IT.
- Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable).
- Familiarity with GCSE / BTEC / A-Level specifications.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their best.
- A passion for technology, innovation and preparing students for a digital future.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
- Experience with Python, coding, algorithmic thinking, or robotics.
