Salary: £14.25 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Swansea who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, supporting children within the mainstream primary setting who can display challenging behaviour. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour positively, provide consistent support and help pupils remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting children who can display challenging behaviour
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
