TeacherActive are currently recruiting Supply Teachers to work across a range of Primary Schools in South Birmingham. This role is ideal for teachers seeking flexible work, whether you’re looking for occasional days, consistent weekly bookings, or a better work‑life balance.
The schools we work with are particularly looking for teachers who are confident working in Key Stage 2, including Year 5 and Year 6, and who can confidently step into the classroom to deliver pre‑planned lessons.
Role
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons across KS2, including Year 5 and Year 6
- Maintain a positive and well‑managed classroom environment
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines
- Provide brief feedback to schools at the end of the day
Ideal Candidate
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Are confident teaching KS2, particularly Year 5 & Year 6
- Are flexible and happy to work across multiple schools in South Birmingham
- Are reliable, adaptable, and confident managing behaviour
- Are happy to work through TeacherActive and be paid via PAYE
Compliance & Eligibility Requirements
- A DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through TeacherActive
- Ability to provide two professional references from previous educational employers
- Eligibility to work in the UK
