About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, many of whom may have experienced barriers to education. Subjects can be tailored to your specialism, although a flexible and creative approach to teaching is essential.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • Have experience working with secondary-aged pupils
  • Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
  • Have a strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice
  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
