Are you a passionate Early Years Practitioner who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences for young children? Do you hold a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification and have previous experience working within an early years setting? Are you looking for a flexible full-time or part-time role within a supportive nursery environment?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming private day nurseries across York who are seeking dedicated Early Years Practitioners to join their teams from September. These settings are committed to providing safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children can thrive through play‑based learning and positive early experiences.

The nurseries are looking to appoint Early Years Practitioners on both full-time and part-time contracts. The successful Early Years Practitioner will support children throughout the early years age range, delivering engaging activities, promoting development in line with the EYFS framework, maintaining a safe learning environment, and ensuring children receive the highest standard of care and education.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
