Salary: £100 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming and supportive schools across Newham, London, who are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN LSA staff to join their teams. These schools support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, communication difficulties and learning delays.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people to feel confident, included and ready to learn. The role would suit either an experienced candidate who has worked within SEN settings before, or a graduate who has strong transferable experience and a genuine interest in building a career within education.

As a SEN LSA, you will be supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning, stay engaged in the classroom and develop their confidence, independence and social skills. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams to create a positive, safe and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The successful SEN LSA will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Experience supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning

Previous experience within a school, nursery, care setting, youth work, tutoring, psychology, sports coaching or mentoring role would also be highly desirable.
