We are currently working in partnership with a highly aspirational and inclusive secondary school in Newham with a rigorous academic curriculum and strong pastoral care. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced French teacher with leadership ambitions or an established subject leader seeking a new challenge. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and developing the French department across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning remain at the centre of the curriculum. You will be responsible for leading curriculum development, setting high expectations, and supporting colleagues to deliver engaging lessons that help every student achieve their best.
The successful Head of French will have:
- QTS with a French specialism
- Experience teaching French up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
- Previous leadership experience or the ambition to progress into a leadership role
- Excellent classroom management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- The ability to inspire students and drive high achievement within the department
