Are you an experienced Home Tutor with a passion for supporting students with SEND needs? Do you have the patience and adaptability to engage a non-verbal student with Autism / ASD? Are you confident working collaboratively with a Teaching Assistant to deliver personalised learning?
This rewarding opportunity involves providing high-quality, individualised education in a home setting, helping a young person with Autism / ASD reach their full potential within a supportive and collaborative environment. The Home Tutor role is available on a long-term basis from September.
The successful Home Tutor will support a non-verbal student with Autism / ASD alongside a Teaching Assistant, delivering engaging, tailored lessons while adapting learning strategies to meet the student's individual needs and promoting confidence, communication and progress.
The successful Home Tutor will have:
- QTS, QTLS or relevant tutoring qualification
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly Autism / ASD
- Experience planning and delivering personalised learning programmes
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
- The ability to work effectively alongside a Teaching Assistant
