TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist secondary provision in Stoke, supporting students with SEMH needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where young people are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships, with a strong focus on emotional wellbeing and engagement in education.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teacher on a long-term temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right SEMH Teacher. The successful SEMH Teacher will be working with secondary aged students, delivering engaging lessons while supporting pupils with behavioural challenges, emotional regulation and additional learning needs.
The successful SEMH Teacher will have:
- QTS or relevant UK teaching qualification
- Experience working with secondary students with SEMH needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Experience delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
