TeacherActive is proud to be working with the Local Authority in Stoke to recruit dedicated GCSE English and Maths Tutors. These provisions support young people who require additional educational support, including students with SEND, SEMH needs, those currently out of education, and learners requiring targeted GCSE intervention to help them achieve positive outcomes.
We are looking for GCSE English and Maths Tutors to work on a temporary basis with the potential for long-term opportunities. The successful GCSE English and Maths Tutor will deliver engaging and tailored tuition sessions within the home, learning centre or school environment, supporting learners working towards their GCSE qualifications. This role offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to manage your own availability while making a meaningful difference to young people's educational journeys.
The successful GCSE English and Maths Tutor will have:
- Experience delivering GCSE English and/or GCSE Maths tuition
- A recognised teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning sessions
- Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills
