Are you passionate about outdoor education and creating engaging Forest School learning opportunities? Do you have experience working with children in an educational or outdoor learning setting? Can you inspire pupils to develop their knowledge, skills and enjoyment of the great outdoors?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary SEND school in Stoke who are looking to appoint a Forest School Lead. The setting is looking for a passionate and engaging individual who can empower learners through practical education and create positive outdoor learning experiences.

The school is looking to take on a Forest School Lead on a fixed-term basis from September. The successful Forest School Lead will take overall responsibility for the planning, teaching and assessment of Forest School, working with small groups and delivering 1:1 learning under the direction of the Outdoor Education Head and Deputy Headteacher.

The successful Forest School Lead will have:

  • Forest School Leader qualification (Level 3)
  • Proven experience of working with children in an educational or outdoor learning setting
  • First Aid qualification, including outdoor/emergency first aid, or willingness to obtain
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in outdoor environments
  • A passion for empowering learners through practical education
  • Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate outdoor learning experiences
