TeacherActive is proud to be working with a host of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Stoke who will be looking to appoint Cover Supervisors. I am looking for Cover Supervisors who can commit on a long-term basis as well as cover day-to-day shifts, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Cover Supervisor.
The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour effectively and support pupils' learning while contributing to the wider life of the school.
The successful Cover Supervisor will have:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) with strong numeracy and literacy skills
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
- A proactive approach to supporting students
