TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEN provision based in Darlington, supporting children and young people aged 5 to 19. The setting promotes a caring and inclusive environment, placing a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, independence and helping students achieve their full potential through tailored support and structured learning.
The school is looking to appoint an SEN Teacher on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teacher will be working with students across a range of age groups, supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs. The role will involve delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour positively and creating a safe and supportive classroom environment for all learners.
The successful SEN Teacher will have:
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with children and young people with Autism, ADHD and SEMH
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- A proactive and nurturing approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- A passion for supporting students with additional needs
