TeacherActive are proud to be working with a specialist SEMH provision in the Lichfield area who are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join on a permanent basis. This SEMH Teacher role involves working with pupils across both primary and secondary ages who present with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured, supportive and therapeutic environment where consistency, trust and positive relationships are at the heart of everything they do.

The SEMH Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored learning to small groups and individual learners, adapting the curriculum to meet a wide range of emotional and behavioural needs. This role requires strong classroom management, a calm and consistent approach, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education.

Qualifications
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or in alternative provision
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a consistent approach
  • Ability to differentiate learning across primary and secondary ages
  • Experience supporting trauma, attachment needs or challenging behaviour
  • A resilient, patient and child-centered attitude
