Are you an experienced SEN Tutor who can deliver engaging 1:1 tuition? Do you have experience supporting young people with SEMH, ADHD and ASD? Are you confident delivering core subjects to learners with a range of additional needs?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive provision based in Stoke-on-Trent, who are looking to appoint an SEN Tutor to support learners on a 1:1 basis. The setting provides tailored education for young people with additional needs, creating a calm and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to build confidence and re-engage with learning.

The provision is looking to take on a dedicated SEN Tutor on a long-term basis with an immediate start available. The successful SEN Tutor will be working with learners across a mix of ages, delivering core subjects including English and Maths, while adapting sessions to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH, ADHD and ASD.

The successful SEN Tutor will have:

  • QTS, PGCE, HLTA qualification or relevant tutoring experience
  • Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or small group intervention
  • Experience supporting learners with SEMH, ADHD and ASD
  • Strong knowledge of core subjects including English and Maths
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
