TeacherActive is proud to be working with a thriving further education provider in the Stoke area, who are urgently looking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Lecturer for a June start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly supportive department that is committed to improving learner outcomes, building student confidence, and creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all.
The college is looking to take on a committed Maths Lecturer on a full-time, long-term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right Maths Lecturer. You will be responsible for delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to learners aged 16+, planning engaging lessons that inspire progression and achievement.
The successful Maths Lecturer will play a key role in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, raise attainment levels, and prepare confidently for exams and future employment opportunities.
Qualifications
- A relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent
- Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths within a further education setting
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education
- Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills
- The ability to plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons
- A positive, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
