Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced GCSE English Teacher to join the team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to teach a subject you are passionate about while supporting resit students as they work towards achieving their GCSE English qualification. As a GCSE English Teacher, you will play a vital role in building learners' confidence and raising aspirations, and delivering engaging lessons that help students overcome barriers and reach their goals. You will work within a supportive department, following and implementing high-quality schemes of learning while making a real difference to young people's futures.
Responsibilities
- Build learners' confidence and raise aspirations.
- Deliver engaging lessons for resit students.
- Follow and implement high-quality schemes of learning.
Qualifications
- A first class or 2:1 degree in English.
- QTS, PGCE or DTTLS and experience in a further educational environment.
- Experience teaching young people in a diverse setting.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- SEND and Safeguarding experience is desirable.
