The school is looking to appoint a full-time ASC Teaching Assistant from September on a long-term basis. The successful ASC Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), helping to deliver engaging learning opportunities while supporting pupils' communication, behaviour and personal development throughout the school day.

The successful ASC Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children and young people with ASC, SLD and ADHD
  • Advanced knowledge of strategies to support pupils with autism and complex additional needs
  • Experience working within a specialist education or SEND setting
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, caring and resilient approach to supporting learning
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their individual goals
