TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist educational setting in Bridgwater that supports children and young people with autism, SEMH and complex learning needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment, focusing on building confidence, independence and life skills through personalised and meaningful learning experiences.
The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long term basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils both in and out of the classroom, working closely with staff to deliver individual learning plans and provide consistent, tailored support to meet a wide range of needs.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND or additional needs
- A strong understanding of, or willingness to learn about, ASC, SEMH and communication needs
- A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
- Experience in education, care or youth work settings
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A proactive attitude and commitment to supporting development and independence
