TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic Primary SEND school based in the Telford area. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children with autism and learning difficulties, placing a strong emphasis on communication, independence and helping every child achieve their full potential through personalised support.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a long‑term, full‑time basis with a September start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, delivering one‑to‑one and small group interventions, promoting positive behaviour and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting children with autism and learning difficulties
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
- Experience working within a Primary or SEND school environment
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
