The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. You'll work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND.
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social development.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
