Salary: £100 - £125 per day
Do you have experience supporting children and young people with complex needs? Are you confident providing intimate and personal care within a SEND school environment? Are you patient, resilient and committed to supporting pupils to develop their independence?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Wakefield that supports children and young people with complex needs across Key Stage 1 / KS1 through to Key Stage 4 / KS4. The school provides a supportive environment where pupils can access education alongside the individual care they require.
The school is looking to take on a Learning Care Assistant for short or long-term work, supporting pupils with complex needs throughout the school day. The successful Learning Care Assistant will provide learning support alongside intimate and personal care, helping pupils access activities safely and promoting their independence wherever possible.
The successful Learning Care Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with complex needs
- Previous experience providing intimate and personal care
- Experience supporting pupils within a SEND or care environment
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Confidence supporting pupils across KS1 to KS4
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
