Salary: £14.25 - £15.60 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience working with pupils diagnosed with Autism and additional learning needs? Are you a patient, resilient and proactive SEND LSA looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity?

The school is looking to appoint a SEND LSA on a long-term basis, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available, including a 3-day-per-week option. The successful SEND LSA will support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to manage behaviour positively, promote engagement in learning and provide tailored support to meet individual education and care plans.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs and Autism
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care or similar (desirable)
  • Experience working within a SEND, special school or alternative provision setting
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A patient, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting young people
