The setting promotes independence, personal development and achievement through a stimulating, person-centred curriculum, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated staff team.

The school is looking to take on a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support students with SEND and SEMH needs across the school, providing classroom support, promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils access engaging learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Previous experience working within a school or specialist education setting
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • A resilient, patient and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
