TeacherActive is working closely with several warm, community‑centred primary schools across Hartcliffe, Whitchurch, Hengrove and Stockwood, who are seeking compassionate and committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants for September. You ll be stepping into teams that truly appreciate the vital role a 1:1 SEND TA plays in a child s development.

Your Role Will Include:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
• Creating a calm, safe and consistent environment where they feel understood and valued
• Supporting their emotional regulation and social confidence
• Helping deliver personalised learning based on EHCP goals
• Working alongside SENCOs, class teachers and external professionals
• Using positive behaviour support to guide and encourage progress

What We re Looking For:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (ideally in a 1:1 primary role)
• A patient, nurturing approach with strong emotional awareness
• Flexibility to adapt activities to meet individual needs
• Confidence using positive behaviour support strategies
• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Learning Support (or equivalent)
• Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Two recent references from educational settings
