We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis, providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people, while gaining valuable experience across different SEND settings.
What are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in SEND Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Challenging Behaviours
- ADHD, ADD, or associated behavioural needs
The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will:
- Have experience working within SEND or alternative provision settings
- Be confident supporting across a range of Key Stages
- Be resilient, not timid and un-phased by children disregulating
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management strategies
- Bring a calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
