We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Resource Base in a vibrant and supportive inner-city primary school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in their early education.
Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant within our Early Years Resource Base (ages 3-5), you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with the class teacher, helping to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working with SEND children or within a resource base in a primary school.
- Experience supporting children in Early Years (Nursery & Reception, ages 3-5).
- A recognised qualification in Early Years or Level 2/Level 3 in Support Teaching and Learning.
Essential Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to provide two professional references from previous employers.
