The college is looking for a determined SEND Teaching Assistant/TA with the potential of a permanent position. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant/TA will be confident and adaptable in working with all age students helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and work closely with Teachers to support the classroom.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant/TA will have the following:

Child and Adult DBS (required) or willing to apply for one
Experience working with SEMH, ASD, Challenging Behaviour students
A calm, patient, and caring personality
A good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
Excellent classroom management
