TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of Secondary Schools and Specialist SEND provisions across Nottingham, supporting them with experienced SEND Teaching Assistants who are passionate about helping pupils with additional needs to succeed. This SEND Teaching Assistant role is ideal for a confident and resilient individual who can provide consistent, structured support to pupils aged 11–16 with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams to support learning, behaviour and emotional regulation. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have: A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education or SEND (or higher) At least 6 month\’s experience supporting children or young people with SEND Proven experience working with pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviours Confidence providing one-to-one and small group support Strong behaviour management skills, including de-escalation strategies A calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners A clear understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and inclusion In return, you can expect to receive: A dedicated consultant available 24/7 to support you Access to our Guaranteed Payment Scheme (Terms and Conditions apply) Free CPD courses and certificates, including SEND and behaviour training Market-leading rates of pay, paid weekly Referral Scheme – earn up to £100 for referring a friend (T&Cs apply) All staff are paid on a PAYE basis, ensuring the correct tax and National Insurance contributions with no hidden admin fees.
