Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with a passion for Physical Education and promoting healthy, active lifestyles? Do you have experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs and creating engaging, inclusive learning environments? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Bristol that supports children and young people aged 4-19 with a range of complex learning needs. The school adopts a highly personalised approach to education, underpinned by a culture of inclusion, active learning and independence, with a strong emphasis on developing confident, happy and successful young people through a broad and enriching curriculum.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher with a PE specialism from September 2026. The successful SEND Teacher will work with pupils with SEMH needs, delivering engaging PE lessons alongside a personalised curriculum, promoting positive behaviour, resilience and wellbeing whilst contributing to a supportive and collaborative staff team. The role would suit a SEND Teacher who is passionate about helping students develop both academically and personally through sport and physical activity.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience teaching PE within a primary, secondary or SEND setting
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • A resilient, patient and positive approach to teaching
