About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a committed and adaptable SEND Teacher to work across a range of schools in Cambridge. This role is offered through a reputable education recruitment agency and provides an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in both mainstream and specialist settings. You will play a key role in delivering personalised learning and helping students achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support pupils with a variety of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Track, monitor, and report on student progress
- Contribute to and implement EHCPs and individual learning plans
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEND pupils in a school or alternative provision
- Strong behaviour management and adaptability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
