TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a large and growing special school that empowers and inspires their students every day. This school provides a high standard of education and focuses on students with SEND needs including: ASC, PMLD, Complex Needs, SLD, and Physical Difficulties and provides them with a daily structure and routine to ensure the best learning environment for their individual needs.

The school is looking for a determined SEND Teacher with the potential of a permanent position. The successful SEND Teacher will be confident and adaptable in working across all Key stages helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours.

The successful SEND Teacher will have the following:

  • Experience working with kids with different SEND needs including: ASC, PMLD, Complex Needs, SLD, and Physical Difficulties
  • A calm, patient, and caring personality
  • A good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
  • Excellent classroom management
