Are you a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher with a strong background in supporting pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs?

We are working closely with a supportive Primary School in the Dudley/Brierley Hill area, who are seeking a dedicated SEND/SEMH Teacher to join their team. The school is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all pupils, especially those requiring additional emotional and behavioural support.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Have experience or a genuine passion for working with pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.

  • Understand that SEMH refers to Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties and be able to adapt teaching strategies to support children with behavioural, emotional or mental health challenges.

  • Be confident in classroom management and supporting children with challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and positive manner.

  • Be able to engage pupils in creative, inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

  • Have excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with other professionals and parents.

Requirements:

  • Valid DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to apply for one through TeacherActive.

  • Two professional references from your most recent employers.

  • Previous experience working with children in the UK.
