About the role

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a vibrant specialist College in Shrewsbury. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners aged 16+ with a variety of additional needs, including learning difficulties and SEMH.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students both in the classroom and outside of it.
  • Assist with lessons e.g. adapting materials and approaches to tailor to the needs of the student.
  • Promote a supportive and inclusive environment for learners to thrive.
  • Work closely with other college departments.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting young adults with SEN in an education setting.
  • A caring and patient nature.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A DBS on the Update Service or be willing to get one.
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable.
