About the role
We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a vibrant specialist College in Shrewsbury. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners aged 16+ with a variety of additional needs, including learning difficulties and SEMH.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students both in the classroom and outside of it.
- Assist with lessons e.g. adapting materials and approaches to tailor to the needs of the student.
- Promote a supportive and inclusive environment for learners to thrive.
- Work closely with other college departments.
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting young adults with SEN in an education setting.
- A caring and patient nature.
- Good communication skills.
- A DBS on the Update Service or be willing to get one.
- Relevant qualifications are desirable.
