Do you have experience supporting children and young people with SEND on a 1-1 basis? Are you patient, adaptable and passionate about helping students achieve their full potential? Do you have strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships with SEND students?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of schools and alternative provisions across Atherstone and Warwickshire, who are looking to appoint dedicated SEND Tutors to support students with additional needs. These settings focus on creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, independence and achieve their individual learning goals.
The schools are looking to take on experienced SEND Tutors on a long-term basis with immediate starts available. The successful SEND Tutor will be working on a 1-1 basis with students who may have Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional learning needs, delivering tailored support sessions and adapting learning to meet each student’s individual requirements.
The successful SEND Tutor will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Previous experience delivering 1-1 tuition or intervention support
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications are desirable
