Minimum £13.69 per hour.

Are you a nurturing, devoted and creative Teaching Assistant who is currently looking to work with pupils on a one to one basis? Can you inspire young minds to develop through play? Do you wish to join a team of professional staff in a nurturing environment where you feel respected and welcomed?

TeacherActive are looking for qualified or highly experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to travel to Abergavenny and surrounding areas. This role is to work on a one to one basis with a child in Early Years. Experience working one to one is essential.

The successful candidates will need to either have a Teaching Assistant qualification or have at least 6 months experience within a classroom setting. You will need to be flexible from 08:30am to 15:45pm and be able to work in both the foundation phase as well as Key Stage 2 / KS2.

You will be expected to fully submerge yourself into nursery life, becoming a part of the family, ensuring you are creating a home from home environment for your pupils.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least 6 months experience within a classroom setting.
  • Ability to get stuck in with the children, creating a fun learning environment for all.
  • A caring, positive approach to working with young children.
  • A good knowledge of the Child Protection / Safeguarding procedures.
