TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Birmingham B11, who are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1.

The school has a welcoming and inclusive ethos, with a strong focus on supporting every child to achieve their full potential within a nurturing environment. The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 on a long-term basis, working full-time with a Year 2 pupil.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 will be supporting the child’s academic and emotional development, working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions and provide consistent support throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 will have:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working 1:1 with children with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
  • Knowledge of supporting children within KS1 / Year 2
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and flexible attitude
