Overview

TeacherActive is working with a SEND provision in the Oldham area, recruiting a SEN Teacher. The setting focuses on pupil development and progress academically and in emotional, social and behavioural skills.

Position

This school seeks a passionate team player for a long-term role, with potential to become permanent for the right SEN Teacher. You will bring new skills and adapt to individual needs to have a positive impact on the wider school. The position involves working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with Autism/ASD, SLD/Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker who can confidently take control of situations is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in SEND teaching.
  • QTS with English as a specialism.
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Initiative and ability to deliver fun and engaging lessons.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with staff and pupils.
