Are you an experienced SEN Teacher with a strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions? Do you have the skills to deliver an autism-friendly curriculum that supports communication, social skills, and independence? Are you looking for a permanent SEN Teacher role within a specialist unit attached to a secondary school?

A secondary school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join its additionally resourced provision for students with autism. The provision offers a broad and balanced curriculum, closely aligned to the mainstream curriculum, which helps students prepare for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.

The successful SEN Teacher will support students within the resourced provision while enabling appropriate access to mainstream subjects. Students work towards Entry Level and Level 1 qualifications, with some also accessing the mainstream school for GCSE and BTEC Level 2 qualifications.

This permanent SEN Teacher position is ideal for a confident and experienced practitioner who can adapt learning, build strong relationships and support students with ASD to achieve meaningful outcomes.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have experience teaching students with autism, ASD or ASC
  • Be confident planning and delivering adapted lessons for students working towards Entry Level, Level 1, GCSE or BTEC qualifications
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Be committed to supporting student independence, self-advocacy and social development
  • Hold UK Right to Work
