Can you deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum while adapting your teaching to meet individual learning needs? Do you have a subject specialism and the confidence to take responsibility for leading and developing a subject area?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with an independent specialist provision based in Wirral, supporting pupils with SEMH needs in a small and supportive learning environment. The setting has a Good OFSTED rating and provides individualised learning programmes and bespoke support, with a strong focus on positive relationships, engagement, life skills and helping pupils progress.
The school is looking to take on a passionate SEMH Teacher from September on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right SEMH Teacher. The successful SEMH Teacher must be confident teaching across the curriculum and adapting lessons to meet pupils' individual needs, while a subject specialism and the ability to lead and develop a subject area would be highly desirable.
The successful SEMH Teacher will have:
- QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
- Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs
- The ability to confidently teach across the curriculum
- A subject specialism with the ability to lead a subject area is desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
