Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher with experience supporting young people with SEMH needs? Do you have the resilience, patience and confidence to inspire students who have become disengaged from mainstream education? Are you looking for a rewarding long-term SEMH Humanities Teacher role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEMH Humanities Teacher on a long-term basis with the opportunity to become permanent. Working 4 or 5 days per week, the successful SEMH Humanities Teacher will deliver engaging Humanities lessons to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, creating a calm, supportive classroom environment while promoting positive behaviour, engagement and academic progress.
Qualifications- QTS with a Humanities specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Experience supporting students with SEMH, challenging behaviour or within an alternative provision
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A calm, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
