TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND setting based in Chesterfield | Derbyshire. The school provides high standards of education and has recently been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED rating. This Alternate Provision boasts fantastic sports facilities and offers opportunities both inside and outside of lessons to promote student engagement, helping their young people to flourish both academically and personally.

The Alternate Provision is looking to take on a driven Science Teacher, on a permanent basis until the end of the academic year. The successful Science Teacher will be working across both Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, including exam preparation for GCSE’s. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

  • QTS with Science specialism (ECT’s are welcome to apply)
  • Experience teaching Science in a UK Secondary School
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
  • Excellent classroom management
